Christine McGuinness 'preparing for a difficult time' as kids return to school

Christine McGuinness has said she's "preparing for a difficult time" with getting her kids back into school.

Christine's children have started to return to school as some lockdown restrictions have been lifted in the coronavirus pandemic.

Many schools had to shut their doors and were only open to the children of key workers in a bid to curb the spread of the deadly virus.

Christine has been open about the struggles her three children, who each have autism, have faced with the massive changes brought into effect during the outbreak.

Now, the mother-of-three has shared an honest insight into how she and husband Paddy McGuinness are tackling getting their children back to school.

In an revealing post on Instagram, former Miss Liverpool Christine posted a photo of her child swimming and wrote: "It's safe to say we have had a mixture of emotions the last couple of days, mainly from me but mostly good!

"It’s a personal choice sending your children back to school and not an easy one to make.

"We’re testing it out taking things one day at a time.

"Trying just a couple of hours, seeing if the twins are happier and more settled with some routine back and if they can do school life safely then that’s we will do!

"Ultimately I just want them to be happy and safe, which I feel they are".

For her youngest child, daughter Felicity, Christine admitted she was "struggling so much" with the changes.

The 32-year-old added: "We haven’t heard anything from nursery for our youngest yet, I have no idea if/when they will open.

"And honestly she is struggling so much, I can’t wait to get her back in for her well being although I’m preparing for a difficult time settling her again".
