Christine Lampard said 'she cried' after Everton beat Manchester United on Saturday.

The presenter, was was covering for Lorraine on today's show, is married to Everton's manager Frank Lampard, jubilantly punched the air when Everton's victory was discussed. The Blues initially slipped to just a point above the relegation zone, but Anthony Gordon's first-half goal secured a vital win for the team, moving them four points clear of the drop zone.

Everton's triumph clearly meant a lot to Lampard's family as Christine was all smiles when talking about the match. At the time, Christine had been speaking to Ross King about Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz's lavish weekend wedding.

The 23-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham and US actress Nicola, 27, said "I do" in a ceremony held on April 9 at her family home in Palm Beach, Florida, with guests at the star-studded event including Venus and Serena Williams, Eva Longoria and Spice Girls Mel B and Mel C.

Discussing the emotional event, Christine spoke about reports of David crying during the ceremony. Ross said: "Yes, apparently David Beckham cried as he heard Everton beat Manchester by 1-0."

Christine cheered and said: "I cried too." In February, Christine thanked fans for helping her feel part of the 'Everton family'. Sharing an adorable snap of their children, Freddie and Patricia, wearing Everton kits after beating Brentford 4-1 in the FA Cup, Christine said: "That was a good day!

"Thank you to everyone at @everton football club and to all the fans we met for making us feel so welcome and part of the family @franklampard #everton"
