Christine Lampard says 'prepping has begun' for second baby as she shares gift from showbiz pal

Christine Lampard has begun her preparations for the arrival of her second child as she showcased some baby products from a showbiz pal on her Instagram page.

The Newtownards presenter is expecting her second child to husband Frank Lampard, having given birth to their daughter Patricia in 2018.

Taking to her Instagram stories at the weekend, Christine shared a video of some 'Kit and Kin' products sent to her by former Spice Girl Emma Bunton, who created the eco-friendly baby range.

Christine captioned the video, "Prepping has begun! Thank you so much for the gorgeous gift @emmaleebunton @kitandkinuk."

The package contained the company's hypoallergenic eco nappies, 100% biodegradable baby wipes as well as some items from their clothing and skincare range.

The Loose Women presenter announced in January that she was expecting her second child and is due in early April.

Opening up about her pregnancy in the pandemic, Christine admitted to her fellow Loose Women panelists that she was nervous at the prospective of giving birth alone due to restricitons.

"It's a lot to do with the unknown, you don’t quite know what the outcome is going to be, you just have to look after yourself as best you can. Hospital appointments have changed, you can’t bring people with you and stuff, and that’s fine...that’s what you have to do. I am sort of thinking ahead to April and what will happen at that point, hopefully the world will be a much better place.

"Ideally, I would like Frank alongside me, I don’t want to do that on my own, and lots of women did have to do that the first time around. There is just a lot of uncertainty and you are just trying to be overly protective. I really do try to be as cautious as I possibly can… but it’s a bit lonely going to hospital appointments on your own all the time.”
