Christine Lampard says baby Patricia could put a strain on her marriage to Frank Lampard

Christine Lampard has opened up about the impact having a child has had on her marriage to Frank Lampard.

The Loose Women panellist, who gave birth to their first child together in September, told her colleagues that she considered how having a child might change the couple’s relationship before becoming a mother.

“I suppose it was a question I [thought about],” she said. “I certainly didn’t focus on it or was like, ‘oh no what if everything changes afterwards?’ I think that comes with having a baby a little older in life.”

The TV presenter added that she felt the benefit of welcoming a child later in her late 30s as the couple were more settled and her husband already had experience with his two children from his previous relationship with Elen Rivas.

She added: “I was 39 when I had her, Frank was 40 and we'd been together for 10 years. For all of the concerns that people might have, taking that role on.

“The fact that he had two girls, quite grown up, at the stage that our baby was born, I’ve seen him be brilliant. I’ve seen him be a great dad and the girls have turned into such lovely young women.”

The sweet comments come after Christine told how she is still in shock that she is a mum, admitting that she “can’t believe” it.

“It’s all lovely and Patricia is doing really well,” she said on Lorraine, earlier this month.

“I still have that moment where I look at her and go, ‘I can’t believe you’re mine, I can’t believe you’re all mine.’ I really do.”

Christine previously revealed that she enjoys taking baby Patricia out as a social experiment to see who will hold the door open for her, adding that she loves "mortifying" Frank with them.
