Christine Lampard raves about Belfast restaurant after visit with husband Frank

Christine Lampard has raved about a Belfast restaurant on social media after a visit with husband Frank.

The Newtownards woman shared a photo while out for dinner at Deanes EIPIC, posing with head chef Alex Greene who starred on Great British Menu.

The TV presenter was delighted to sample chef Alex's 'The Incredible Edible Book', his winning dessert from the BBC show inspired by local author Oliver Jeffers' book 'The Incredible Book Eating Boy'.

Christine and Frank celebrated their wedding anniversary at the Howard Street restaurant in the city before visiting The Merchant Hotel at the Cathedral Quarter for some cocktails.

"Take me back to #Belfast and the fantastic food at @deanes_eipic @michaeldeane61 with @greatbritishmenu super chef @chefalexgreene.

"I can’t believe we actually got to sample your edible book!! And to the ever hospitable staff and glorious cocktails at @merchantbelfast.

"The perfect way to celebrate our anniversary @franklampard."
