Christine Lampard 'devastated' over hubby Frank's sacking by Chelsea FC

TV presenter Christine Lampard is said to be 'devastated' over her hubby Frank's sacking by Chelsea FC.

The Newtownards native, who is currently pregnant with the couple's second child is now said to be worried that Frank will want a move away from London.

According to  Heat  magazine, the pregnant telly star doesn't feel the time is right to move their family.

A source told the magazine: "Christine was devastated when Frank was fired."

They added that: "Christine knows that, financially, they don't have anything to worry about and she's very grateful for that.

"But they may have to move out of London again if Frank gets a job elsewhere and she just doesn't feel ready for that - she wants to enjoy the last few months of this pregnancy rather than worrying about what is going to happen."

One thing keeping the couple in London is Frank's two daughters, Luna, 15, and Isla, 13. He shares custody with their mother Elen Rivas and currently lives nearby, reports The Mirror.

He also has two-year-old daughter Patricia with 42-year-old Christine, who is due to give birth in April.

She has talked about her fears of giving birth during a pandemic, and said she finds the situation "isolating".

Speaking on Loose Women last month, she said: "Hospital appointments have changed, you can’t bring people with you and stuff, and that’s fine...that’s what you have to do. I am sort of thinking ahead to April and what will happen at that point, hopefully the world will be a much better place.

"Ideally, I would like Frank alongside me, I don’t want to do that on my own, and lots of women did have to do that the first time around. There is just a lot of uncertainty and you are just trying to be overly protective. I really do try to be as cautious as I possibly can… but it’s a bit lonely going to hospital appointments on your own all the time.”

Frank's sacking came with Chelsea ninth in the Premier League ,  after a number of expensive summer signings underperformed.

After being sacked the Chelsea legend, who in his time set records as the team's top goalscorer, told fans he was "disappointed".

Frank said: "It has been a huge privilege and an honour to manage Chelsea, a club that has been a big part of my life for so long."

And he added: "I am proud of the achievements that we made, and I am proud of the academy players that have made their step into the first team and performed so well. They are the future of the club.

"I am disappointed not to have had the time this season to take the club forward and bring them to the next level."
