Christine and Paddy McGuinness 'stronger than ever' a year after marriage split

Christine and Paddy McGuinness "stronger than ever" a year after marriage split, according to reports.

The pair announced they were calling time on their marriage around a year ago and have been co-parenting their children since.

The couple have remained living together in their Cheshire mansion but also have their own lives outside of parenting.

They are said to have "put the hurt behind them" and have moved forward, focusing on their three children.

Paddy, who is from Bolton, first met Liverpudlian Christine back in 2007, when she was a 19-year-old model taking part in a fashion show at the Liverpool Tennis Tournament.

According to new, a source said: "They are stronger than ever as co-parents - they have put the hurt behind them and are making things work for the children."

At the time of the announcement of their split, they shared a statement that said: "A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children.

"This was not an easy decision to make but we’re moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children.

"We’ll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."

Paddy and Christine are said to have stayed in their £2.1 million family home together for their three children, who have all been diagnosed with autism, due to being sensitive to change in routine.

Christine has also been diagnosed with autism and explained that living with Paddy isn't a "forever plan" but is what works for them right now.

She said: "It’s much like any parent really – juggling jobs and children. We definitely don’t want to upset them or change anything too quickly – and for me as well.

"I like slow changes and we’re alright – we’re family. I’ve known Paddy for 15 years, so I don’t know life without him."

Christine and Paddy continue to spend family time together, coming together to celebrate their children's milestones such as birthdays and school events.
