Christina Ricci admits flogging her handbag collection to pay for the seemingly pricey divorce from her husband James Heerdegen.
The Wednesday actress, 42, says she put her expensive accessory collection to "good use" following her split from spouse of seven years James.
They went their separate ways in 2020 and just one year later Christina obtained a restraining order against James, the father of her eight-year-old son Freddie.
At the time, she cited 'severe physical and emotional abuse' following long-winded court battles which seemed to cost a fair bit of cash.
"There are certain things that I have collected, certain bags. I had quite a Chanel handbag collection for a while, but I sold a lot of things," she admitted.
Telling the Sunday Times' Style magazine why she chose to sell them, she said: "Well, certain traumas in life go along with financial traumas.
"Extended court situations, custody situations, fighting restraining orders.
"Having said that, I'm absolutely doing fine, there's no issue. But I learnt to use these investment pieces in different ways. I also had a Chanel Fine Jewellery collection that I put to good use."
The revelations come after she confessed that her son Freddie still sleeps in her bed despite her nine-month-old daughter Cleopatra already being sleep trained.
She opened up to People about her sleeping routine, saying it was "amazing" how quickly her youngest has took to her own bed.
"The fact that I can put her down in her crib and she just goes to sleep when my eight-year-old still sleeps with me is amazing," she said.
Christina confessed that her first attempt to sleep train Freddie was a nightmare, explaining how he would scream himself hoarse while "banging his head against the crib railing".
Cleopatra is shared with her current husband Mark Hampton.
She continued: "But with Cleo, when we decided to try it and see how she would react to it, she just sort of whined for about seven minutes and then laid down, clutched her little unicorn and went to sleep. It was like she was ready and she wanted to do it, and it was right for her."
