Christina Ricci 'finalises' divorce with ex James Heerdegen as couple agree to co-parent

Christina Ricci's pricey divorce from ex-husband James Heerdegen has reportedly 'finalised' as the couple agree to co-parent their son.

The Wednesday star, 42, seems to have finally wrapped her divorce deal after splitting from James in 2020 following a rocky relationship.

One year after their split, Christina obtained a restraining order against James, the father of her eight-year-old son Freddie.

At the time, she cited 'severe physical and emotional abuse' following long-winded divorce court battles which seemed to cost a fair bit of cash.

Now, Christina will reportedly keep their house in the San Fernando Valley, while she splits the money from a property sale in New York with James, according to legal documents.

Obtained by TMZ, the docs say she will "keep all of the residuals and royalties for her work", as reported by the outlet today.

James reportedly "gets a Subaru, along with his personal belongings" plus a "one-time payment of $189,687 from Christina".

There's "no spousal or child support" according to the docs, but Christina "will pay for 100 per cent of private school, and any uncovered medical expenses for Freddie".

They'll have "joint legal custody, but she makes the tiebreaking call on things like major medical and educational decisions".

As for physical custody, that's also "split between Christina and James, although she has primary custody", TMZ has reported.

The Mirror has contacted Christina's representatives for a comment.

It comes after Christina admitted flogging her handbag collection to pay for the seemingly pricey divorce from James.

She put her expensive accessory collection to "good use" following her split from spouse of seven years. "There are certain things that I have collected, certain bags," she said.

"I had quite a Chanel handbag collection for a while, but I sold a lot of things."

Telling the Sunday Times' Style magazine why she chose to sell them, she said: "Well, certain traumas in life go along with financial traumas.

"Extended court situations, custody situations, fighting restraining orders.

"Having said that, I'm absolutely doing fine, there's no issue. But I learnt to use these investment pieces in different ways. I also had a Chanel Fine Jewellery collection that I put to good use."
