Christina Aguilera sends fans into meltdown after she's spotted at Manchester Christmas market

Manchester Christmas markets might be the last place you expect to see a celeb, but a bonafide A-lister was spotted browsing the stalls on Friday.

Christina Aguilera almost broke Twitter as she confirmed she'd stopped off to browse the festive wares after performing a concert in the city.

Her Twitter followers went into meltdown when she posted a picture of herself enjoying a warm drink in the middle of the market yesterday.

The Genie in a Bottle hitmaker, 38, kept a low profile in a comfy white hoodie, black coat and a baseball cap, making her almost unrecognisable to passersby.

Christina captioned the photo: "Nothing like a Christmas village in Europe!"

She also posted scarf, Christmas tree and coffee emojis.

Her post was then flooded with comments from her fans who couldn't believe she was there.

"I'm fumin I didn't go to try and spot her!" another posted.

A third joked: "Queen of going round the Manchester Christmas markets and probably paying £50 for a Nutella crepe on a paper plate."

Another said: "It must be difficult for you to go out in public, like this! Hope you enjoy it!"

Christina has just finished the UK leg of The X Tour, the first time she's performed over here in 13 years.

She is taking a short break from performing before she does her last three dates in Mexico next month.
