Christina Aguilera Facelift Speculations Resurface As Pop Star Dons 2000's Makeup And Attire

Christina Aguilera showed up to London's Savoy Theatre for 'Burlesque: The Musical' on Monday night looking unbelievably young amid resurfaced facelift rumours.

The 44-year-old musician put a spin on her iconic 2000s-style hair and makeup, making her appear at least 15 years younger.

Recently, speculation about Aguilera's use of plastic surgery and ozempic had resurfaced after multiple sightings of her made it seem like she was actually de-aging, appearing noticeably different in recent years.

The 'Genie In A Bottle' singer has opened up about comments on her appearance before and shared a post about accepting herself to fans on Instagram at the beginning of 2025.

A Play On Her 2000s Looks

Instead of the classic bright red lip Aguilera has been known to wear, she appeared on Monday in a deeper, earthier shade.

The rest of her makeup matched the moodiness of her lip colour, with shades of black and dark brown dusting her face, bronzer and purple blush accentuating her cheekbones.

Aguilera's timeless flat-ironed bleach-blonde hair had shades of white strewn throughout. Paired with her green corset dress and black knee high boots, Aguilera was giving sexy witch–not bad for a 44-year-old.

Facelift and Ozempic Accusations

The pop star's return to her bold makeup is another indicator of how she appears to be returning to her youthful looks.

Aguilera is no stranger to plastic surgery allegations, although, she has never addressed them directly.

In October 2024, the Daily Mail released an article where cosmetic surgeons claimed Aguilera had likely undergone botox, filler, and a possible facelift. They referred to her as 'ageless' and 'beautiful.'

Dr. Bassiri-Tehrani told the Daily Mail, 'What's really the difference is the upper third of her face, and she's doing what a lot of people have been doing the last several years, which is making the brow more angular and stronger.'

'That'll draw the eye and make it appear like there's a little bit more of a fox-eye,' he added.

Rumours sparked again in 2025 when Aguilera appeared on the cover of french magazine 'Carcy' looking noticeably young.

Users on Reddit and X accused Aguilera of 'Benjamin Buttoning,' a term used for celebrities who seem to be aging backwards like the character played by Brad Pitt, by undergoing a facelift.

One Reddit post asked users what procedures the singer had undergone, using a photo from Carcy as context.

'What has she NOT had done is the question, and yea I noticed the extreme editing too. Nose and boob job(s) when she was young, lip and facial fillers during the past decade, more recently Ozempic, facelift, loads of lasers, wigs,' one user replied.

'Absolutely a face lift of some sort, she didn't do her neck though,' another said.

'I would ABSOLUTELY assume this woman was in her 20s if I saw her on the street,' one comment read.

Aguilera Speaks Up About Comments On Her Body

As the new year rolled in, Aguilera shared a video with fans that opened up with screenshots of Instagram comments.

'I didn't realise that was Christina she looks so different,' 'Who is that,' 'there is no way she's in her 40s,' 'yeah how is she looking that good,' some of the comments read.

'This year, doing something a little different,' Aguilera started. 'This is a reminder to everyone that you are your OWN STORYTELLER in your OWN LIFE. No one else can dictate who you are. No one deserves an explanation,' she wrote.

The singer explained that everyone will judge you, no matter what you do. 'Acceptance comes with accepting yourself first,' she added.

Aguilera opened up about the media's obsession with her body in an interview with Glamour in August 2024.

When she was a teenager, Aguilera felt like her worth was based on 'how skinny I was.'

However, as time's gone on, the singer has developed a new mentality.

'I have a maturity now where I just don't give a fuck about your opinion. I'm not going to take it on,' she says. 'It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people's opinions of me are not my business,' she said.
