Christian Pulisic transfer latest: Arsenal and Man Utd interest, Chelsea stance, Kroenke's wish

Christian Pulisic has been at the forefront of headlines in recent days after reports emerged that he is now the subject of interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

The Chelsea star has had a difficult couple of seasons in west London. Although he's shown several moments of promise, he's often been plagued with injury issues or suffered from obvious inconsistency in his performances.

Whilst he may be hoping to finally get things right under Graham Potter, with just over 18 months to go on his contract, the club face a tricky decision this coming January.

With that in mind, let's take a look at all the latest news linking him with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal's secret weapon

Arsenal could have a secret weapon up their sleeve in the race to sign Pulisic. That's because Matt Turner, the Gunners' second-choice goalkeeper, has been away with the USA star at the World Cup.

Turner has previously admitted that the two get on well off the pitch. So, perhaps he has put in a word behind the scenes.

"Yeah, I'm good friends with Christian Pulisic so obviously he's at Chelsea," he said after completing his transfer to the Gunners in the summer. "And I’m tight with Brenden Aaronson as well who just signed up with Leeds.

"That's a little further away I know, so Antonee Robinson at Fulham and Christian Pulisic at Chelsea, I'm hoping that I'll get to spend some time with them and create those relationships off the field as well. I have a cousin who lives in London and obviously some of my friends from Uni back in the day still live in and around London. Which is nice."

Kroenke's wish

Stan and Josh Kroenke can take their Arsenal transfer strategy to another level in January after reports linked Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The American businessmen have been looking to create deeper connections between their sporting franchises in order to share information across their network that will allow Arsenal to expand scouting operations in North America.

MLS duo Turner and Auston Trusty completed moves to the club in the summer, with the latter joining from Kroenke Sports and Entertainment-owned Colorado Rapids. Most recently, Orlando City’s Facundo Torres has emerged as another US-based player to attract attention from the Gunners, with talks reportedly taking place over a potential move.

Pulisic's links is more proof of their plan coming into fruition.
