Christian Pulisic sets date for crunch Chelsea talks as Blues eye AC Milan transfer swoop

Here are your Chelsea morning headlines for Thursday, March 11.

Blues eye Kessie

Chelsea are still interested in a move for AC Milan star Franck Kessie.

That's according to Sports Mediaset, who say the midfielder is in the midst of a contract crossroads with only one year remaining on his deal after this summer.

That means that if he does not agree a new deal with AC Milan, he could be sold to make sure he is not lost for free, and there is no shortage of interest.

Both Chelsea and Real Madrid are said to be interested in the 24-year-old who has been with Milan since his 2017 move from Atalanta.

Pulisic to wait for future talks

Christian Pulisic is in no rush to decide on his Chelsea future.

That is the latest report amid growing concern over whether the American winger will remain a Blues player heading into next season, following a lack of game time under Thomas Tuchel.

Pulisic has played a total of 50 minutes in Chelsea's last three Premier League games, with Tuchel preferring Callum Hudson-Odoi along with others in his five-at-the-back system.

He took the Premier League by storm after his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in 2019, but he has struggled a little since, struggling with injury issues this season, in particular.

The winger now finds himself on the periphery of Tuchel's plans and that has led to talk of a potential exit ahead of the summer.

The likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have all been linked with a move for Pulisic in recent weeks, but a transfer is not necessarily on the table as things stand.

Or at least that's according to Fabrizio Romano, who claimed on his Here We Go Podcast that Pulisic 'doesn't want to create any problems' at Chelsea despite his lack of game time.

He also claimed that Pulisic will wait until the end of the season before considering his future but that he could be 'one of the candidates to leave' Chelsea this summer.

Tomori reveals mood in Chelsea camp

Chelsea are enjoying life under Thomas Tuchel, now 12 unbeaten across all competitions.

The German head coach has made quite the start at Stamford Bridge, taking Chelsea back into the top four and within three points of third-placed Leicester City after beating Everton on Monday.

Things are going swimmingly on the pitch for the Blues, and it seems things are going just as well behind the scenes with the mood in the camp 'good', according to an exiled star.

Fikayo Tomori, who is currently on loan at AC Milan after making the move to Italy just days before Tuchel's arrival, is still in contact with his teammates, and he has provided some insight from behind the scenes.

"Obviously I've spoken to people at Chelsea. They're not only team-mates, they're also friends so we all check up on each other to see how we're all doing," he told reporters ahead of AC Milan's Europa League clash with Manchester United.

"A lot of the time we're not talking about football but about general life.

"The mood in the camp there from what I understand is good. A lot of them are playing games, scoring goals and playing well so I'm sure it's all going well."
