Christian Pulisic sends messages to fans while attending New York Jets-Atlanta Falcons NFL game

Christian Pulisic was at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon to cheer on the New York Jets in their AFC East match against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Chelsea star was born in Pennsylvania and grew up three hours outside of New Jersey, where the Jets play at the MetLife Stadium.

As such, Pulisic made the short trip from west to north London in order to see them play the first NFL game held in London since 2019, and only the third to be hosted by Spurs' new ground.

However, his attendance didn't seem to help his side on the field, as the Jets suffered a 27-20 defeat to leave them rock bottom of the AFC East after five matches.

"It was really special.," Pulisic told SNY after the match. "When I heard they were going to be in London, I had to make sure I was at the game. It was a tough result but still just a really cool experience."

Pulisic is currently recovering from an ankle injury and therefore is not away with the United States national team during the international window.

The 23-year-old has been limited to just two appearances for Chelsea so far this season, starting for the Blues in their Super Cup victory over Villarreal before scoring on the opening day of the Premier League against Crystal Palace.

Thomas Tuchel will be eager to have Pulisic back soon and will be hoping he can return to action when Chelsea host neighbours Brentford at Stamford Bridge on October 16.

A day later, NFL returns to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Miami Dolphins take on Jacksonville Jaguars.
