Christian Pulisic has called on his Chelsea teammates to challenge for the Premier League title next term, saying that there's a 'champion mentality' at the club.
The youngster has completed his move to the Blues after five years with Dortmund in the German Bundesliga.
The 20-year-old got used to challenging for titles as Dortmund would regularly compete with Bayern Munich at the top of the table, and Pulisic says that Chelsea must move to close the gap on Manchester City next term.
Speaking to the Guardian, he said: "There’s no doubt City had a great season, but Chelsea … there’s a champion mentality at this club.
“They are a confident group of guys who understand we have a long way to go, but we have a great squad already and everyone wants to take the steps so we can compete right away.
“It’s the next challenge I want to take on."
He added: "I was 15 when I moved to Dortmund. It was something I always wanted and it was just a matter of finding the right time.
"Now I just felt that it was the right step [to join Chelsea]. It was a great time in Dortmund but it was a feeling and I still have that. This is the biggest stage, it is incredible to come in and be in England and part of this league. If you want to prove yourself it is the greatest stage to be on."
