Christian Pulisic outlines the position he can be 'very effective' in for Chelsea next season

Supporters have finally got a glimpse of Christian Pulisic in a Chelsea shirt following his Borussia Dortmund exit.

Joining the Blues at the start of January in a £57.6million deal, the United States international remained in Germany for the rest of the season on loan due to the deal struck between both clubs.

The youngster played in his final game in the Bundesliga at the weekend and he has spent this week in the capital getting to know his new surroundings.

While everyone connected with the club will be praying that the club's upcoming transfer will get overturned so they can sign some new players, there's a very good chance that the attacker will be the only new player in SW6 come August.

Speaking to Chelsea's official website , Pulisic outlined where exactly he can play for Maurizio Sarri's side next season.

"I think I can be very effective on either of the wings," he said. "I had the chance to play on both at Dortmund but I have experience of playing as a no.10 with the national team as well.

"Really, any of the attacking positions I can be comfortable in.

"I was most comfortable on the wings at Dortmund.

"I like this system [that Chelsea play]. It is a very free-flowing, attacking system that should suit my style well."

One player everyone will be hoping is still in west London come the end of the transfer window is Eden Hazard.

Heavily tipped to sign for Real Madrid as he only has one year left on his contract, Pulisic has hailed the Belgian international ahead of potentially linking up with the superstar next season.

"Eden is a fantastic player, we all know that and if I can get anywhere close to that I will be happy," he added. "He is a great player.

"I want to come in, be my own player, and do the best that I can do.

"I want to use my skills, my pace, my quickness and creativity to help, especially on the attacking end of things.

"Scoring goals and providing assists, that is what I am here to do.

"I want to make an impact and be a team guy who is going to give it everything."
