Christian Pulisic netted his first 2 Chelsea goals in a dominant first half

Christian Pulisic has officially arrived.

Chelsea FC took on Austrian side FC Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday in one of the last remaining preseason friendlies for the Premier League giants. Typically, these preseason friendlies are meaningless tune-up games that are played at half speed and aimed at getting in match shape. Nobody should put much stock into them … but on the other hand …

CHRISTIAN PULSIC SCORED TWO GOALS IN ONE HALF.

Yeah, that happened.

The 20-year-old U.S. national had put together some solid preseason performances since making the transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea, but he was still in search of his first goal in blue. Not anymore.

In the 20th minute, Pulisic made a brilliant run to score in traffic. It was his first Chelsea goal, and he wasn’t done.

Shortly after he drew a penalty to set up a Ross Barkley goal from the spot, Pulisic made another great run with a perfect first touch on Barkley’s long pass to blow by the defense and score.

What a goal.

Again, no one should get carried away over a preseason friendly, but we wouldn’t blame you for this reaction:

Chelsea went into half up 3-0.
