United States national team head coach Gregg Berhalter says Christian Pulisic's recent spell of injuries could be due to his adaptation to the Premier League.
Pulisic has endured a disrupted start to the season, and has only started two Premier League matches due to niggling injury problems.
The Chelsea winger was named in the starting line-up against Burnley several weeks ago, but was forced to withdraw after picking a problem in the warm-up.
The former Borussia Dortmund star then missed the subsequent matches against Rennes and Sheffield United.
Despite this, Pulisic has joined up with the national side for their camp ahead of the USA's upcoming friendly games against Wales and Panama.
And Berhalter dismissed any suggestions that the winger is injury prone, and insisted it’s just a case of the youngster still adapting to the physical nature of the English game.
“I don’t see it like that," he told Fox Sports.
“I really see it as a young player who is just adapting to the demands of a different game, a different schedule.
“When you get injured, when you have a muscle injury, it takes you a while to get fully fit and recover and this is part of his recovery process.
“I have no doubt that he’s going to be a player that is fit for a very long period of time when he gets through this period.
“Christian is in camp and is listed as day-to-day,” he continued.
"It says a lot about Christian that he wasn’t playing for Chelsea but wanted to come into this camp and be around the team. His status is day-to-day.”
