Christian Pulisic drops huge injury hint with Hakim Ziyech ahead of potential return

Hakim Ziyech is edging closer to his competitive Chelsea debut.

The €40million summer signing from Ajax is yet to turn out in a Blues shirt due to a knee injury.

Chelsea fans have been forced to wait for their first real taste of what the midfielder can offer, but the wait could soon be over.

Or at least that's what a social media post from the also injured Christian Pulisic suggests.

Pulisic, who has been excellent since his move from Borussia Dortmund, posted a picture of himself with his arm around Ziyech after training with a sand-timer emoji and the words 'soon come'.

Pulisic is currently training with Ziyech with the pair both working their way back from injury, and it seems they could both return in the near future.

And Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has confirmed that. He suggested today that both are on their way back.

“Ben Chilwell is in the squad tomorrow. Christian and Ziyech are getting closer as well," he said in his pre-match press conference ahead of Wednesday's Carabao Cup clash with Barnsley.

It's thought Ziyech will miss the game on Wednesday, and it's likely Saturday's Premier League clash with West Brom will also come a little too soon.

That means Chelsea's clash with Crystal Palace a week on Saturday could be a target for Ziyech to make his Blues debut.
