Christian Pulisic admits the area of his game he must improve for Chelsea

Christian Pulisic admits that he and his Chelsea teammates must start becoming more clinical.

The Blues crept into the last 16 of the Champions League on Tuesday night after they defeated Lille 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Despite dominating the game and going ahead through Tammy Abraham and Cesar Azpilicueta in the first half.

However, Frank Lampard's side failed to kill off the match and Loic Remy got one back, before having a good chance to equalise and knock the home side out of the competition.

Lampard stated after the game that he was frustrated his team are unable to kill off matches and how it is almost costing them.

Pulisic has been a regular for Chelsea in the past couple of months, with the 21-year-old netting six goals in all competitions and adding three assists.

But the USA international has admitted it is time for himself and the rest of the Blues to start being more ruthless in the final third.

"I’m really happy to just be a part of this team," Pulisic told the Chelsea website .

"When we were flowing like you could see in the first half it was really nice but in the end, if we’re being critical on ourselves, we need to be even more clinical, myself as well.

"After they scored we made it closer than it needed to be. We should have scored more goals and made it much easier on ourselves but we got the result so it was okay and in the end, we’re really happy to go through."

"It’s an amazing thing to go straight to the knockout stages.

"We’re a confident bunch of guys and we feel we can go up against anyone so we’re really excited for the next round because the knockout stages of the Champions League is where you want to play."
