Christian McCaffrey perfectly predicted an Eagles’ offensive play because they’re so predictable

Once considered a prime Super Bowl contender only weeks ago, the Philadelphia Eagles are seeing quite the fall from grace. With Monday night’s 20-17 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia has now lost three straight games in decisive fashion. And all Jalen Hurts has is to offer cliches about how it’s everyone else’s fault.

Part of the reason Philadelphia has struggled lately is a predictable offense. While the Eagles have talent, there appears to be very little rhyme or reason to anything they do offensively. They’re just a collection of randomly assorted plays at this point, never truly hurting a defense.

The Eagles’ offense is so predictable that even a rival like San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey perfectly understands what they’re about to run. He did so while guesting on Monday night’s Manningcast:

Oof. That is a not great look for Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni and offensive coordinator Brian Johnson. Because if McCaffrey can predict plays like this, then the 49ers’ defense almost certainly has the Eagles down pat. And if Philadelphia wants to repeat as NFC champions — a reality that seems a lot less likely now — it’ll probably have to go through San Francisco.

Woof. The Eagles better get it together, or their season will crumble faster than they think.

This was how Twitter reacted to McCaffrey predicting an Eagles' offensive play
