The Arizona Cardinals have not been able to get on the field together yet this offseason but many of the wide receivers were able to get together and actually meet with DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins has been a participant in virtual meetings but they actually got together at Larry Fitzgerald’s house for a dinner.
Between dinner and meetings online, Christian Kirk likes the dynamic Hopkins brings.
“Not too long ago, we had dinner over at Fitz’ house and he invited DeAndre over and Coach Raih and some of the guys that were in town,” Kirk told reporters in a video conference last week. “We sat down, had dinner, had a casual dinner night, which was good. The first time being able to just sit down and talk to Deandre and get what kind of guy he is, he has fit in perfectly already. You can already tell we’re all going to have a strong relationship with one another.”
While Hopkins had some issues with the Houston Texans organization leading to his trade, Kirk said Hopkins is in good spirits.
“Just with the words he has expressed, he’s happy to be here, he’s really excited with the type of guys that we have in our room and he can’t wait to get out on the field with all of us,” he said.
Cardinals veterans are off for the rest of the offseason until training camp.
