Christian Eriksen receives CPR on pitch after horror incident during Denmark vs Finland

Denmark player Christian Eriksen received CPR on the pitch after a horror incident during their Euro 2020 clash against Finland.

Eriksen fell to the ground during the first half of the Copenhagen clash.

There was immediate concern from players of both countries, with his teammates forming a barrier around him as he received treatment.

Medical staff rushed on to the field of play and CPR was administered.

The game was stopped for ten minutes before the players and match officials left the field as Eriksen was brought off.

Eriksen's wife came on to the pitch and was consoled by Kasper Schmeichel, who himself was in tears.

The Finland players and match officials then left the pitch.

A screen was put up around Eriksen on the field of play while medics and the players remained by his side. It was announced that the game was suspended and will not be replayed.

Eriksen, 29, has over 100 caps for his country.
