Inter Milan have moved to quash conspiracy theories that Christian Eriksen's cardiac arrest was in any way related to a coronavirus vaccine.
The Danish playmaker has been described as being in a stable and good condition in hospital after collapsing during the Denmark vs Finland game on Saturday.
Since his collapse, conspiracy theorists have moved to link the tragic incident with Eriksen having had a coronavirus vaccination or contracting the virus - with former Southampton and England player Matt Le Tissier sharing the claim on Twitter.
Inter Milan have moved quickly to dismiss any suggestion, confirming Eriksen has not been vaccinated, nor has he been suffering from the virus.
Inter director Giuseppe Marotta told Rai Sport: "He didn't have Covid and wasn't vaccinated either. At this moment, Eriksen is under the guidance of the Danish medical staff.
"It is right that they release information, but I can say the Inter medical staff have been in contact with them from the start.
"The players are very close and we all immediately communicated with each other after seeing those images. We didn't want to be invasive and so tried to respect his convalescence once we had been reassured."
