Christian Eriksen breaks silence on Manchester United interest after successful Brentford move

Christian Eriksen has confirmed he will not rush a decision on his future this summer.

Eriksen has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United. Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest at last summer's European Championship and he departed Inter Milan following that incident, but he made his comeback to football this year.

The midfielder signed a six-month deal with Brentford in January, joining fellow countryman Thomas Frank in London. Eriksen contributed one goal and four assists in 11 appearances for Brentford, and he proved that he retained his talent.

Brentford want to sign Eriksen permanently, but the 30-year-old has also been linked with United, Newcastle and Tottenham.

However, Eriksen has revealed he won't rush a decision on his future, as he explained after Denmark played Austria.

"No, and they know that too," Eriksen told reporters, as per Bold.dk.

"There are many criteria and many different things inside such a decision. Sometimes it goes fast in football, other times a little slower. You are not in control of it yourself. I have to make the best decision and not rush anything through.

"My phone stays on, but I also know my agent well enough to know that he only calls if there's something exciting."
