Christian Eriksen admits Inter move ‘isn’t what I dreamed of’ as he looks for January exit

Christian Eriksen has admitted his move to Inter Milan hasn't worked out “as I dreamed” as he looks ahead to the January transfer window.

Eriksen pushed to leave Tottenham throughout 2019 and finally secured a £17million move to Italy in January 2020, six months before his contract was due to expire.

The 28-year-old has since found himself struggling for minutes under Antonio Conte, making just three starts this season and failing to either score or assist.

"This isn't what I dreamed of," Eriksen told TV2. "All players want to play as much as possible, but the coach decides who gets to go on the pitch.

"It is a strange situation, as the fans want to see me playing more and so would I, but the coach has different ideas and as a player I have to respect that."

Eriksen has reportedly been offered back to Tottenham, where he thrived over six and a half years, and the Dane has hinted at an Inter exit come January.

He added: “I am concentrating on my football, then when the transfer window opens we will see if something will happen or not.”
