Christian Benteke is ready to fight for his Crystal Palace future in what is a pivotal summer for the Belgian.
Benteke is now into the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park and, if the Eagles do not tie him down to fresh terms, he can leave for free in 12 months.
Given his contractual status, there has been talk the striker could be sold this summer amid reported interest from China.
However, Standard Sport understands there have so far been no offers from Chinese Super League clubs for the 28-year-old.
In any case, the Belgium international is understood to not be interested in playing in China having turned down the chance to move there a few years ago.
Instead, Benteke is ready to fight for his place at Crystal Palace and prove his worth to manager Roy Hodgson.
The striker made a flying start to his Eagles career when he joined them in 2016, scoring 17 goals in all competitions during his first full season at the club.
But Benteke struggled during his second year at Palace, finding the net just three times, while his campaign last term was marred by injury.
The Belgian missed four months of the season due to a knee problem and it was not until the end of the campaign he felt back to his best.
Benteke scored his first and only goal of the season against Arsenal in April and Palace now face a decision over his future with just a year left on his deal.
