Celtic have inquired into the availability of Newcastle winger Christian Atsu, according to a report.
It's the second time the Hoops have been linked with the Ghanaian international as a deal was mooted last January for the lightning-quick star who has one year left on his contract.
Sports World Ghana reports the Hoops have contacted the Tyneside club about the player's availability.
His salary is understood to be in the region of £35k to £45k per week and affordable to Neil Lennon 's side.
The 28-year-old began his career at Porto before Chelsea swooped to take him to the bright lights of the King's Road in a £3.5m transfer.
He struggled to make the breakthrough in West London and loan spells to Vitesse, Everton, Bournemouth, Malaga and Newcastle followed before he made a permanent switch to St James' Park.
He's played 24 times over last season under Steve Bruce, scoring five goals.
Atsu has picked up 65 caps for his country and scored 9 goals.
