Fans of Chrissy Teigen often get a lesson in beauty regimes by the star on Instagram.
But her followers wouldn't have expected her new look on Wednesday as she revealed her candyfloss hair on the social media platform.
The model and author, 35, shocked her 34.5 million followers with her Instagram story as she waved goodbye to her signature classic look for the eye-catching colour.
The change sees her join the long list of celebrities who have succumbed to the hair transformation this year.
The star showed her appreciation to stylist Irinel de León for her transformation, as well as extension specialist Priscilla Valles for providing the overnight length.
And the specialist even shared a tip to any fans looking to mimic Chrissy's new look. She told her own Instagram followers: "If you guys want to get this colour, mix Manic Panic Cotton Candy with Pravana Rose Quartz."
It's not the first time the wife of singer John Legend has threatened to steer away from the natural look.
She has been spotted sporting a similar-looking wig on several occasions and only last month she showcased a silver look and told followers: "Trust me, it’s my midlife."
The changes come after the Lip Sync Battle star was forced to quit Twitter following a backlash of comments.
On March 25 Chrissy posted a long statement saying she had to leave the social media platform after a decade of tweets because she could no longer deal with the negativity.
She revealed in the message that her life goal is "to make people happy".
"The pain I feel when I don’t is too much for me," she wrote. "I’ve always been portrayed as the strong clap back girl but I’m just not.
"My desire to be liked and fear of p***ing people off has made me somebody you didn’t sign up for, and a different human than I started out here as! Live well, tweeters. Please know all I ever cared about was you!!!"
It appears as though Instagram is a safe haven for the star however as she continues to post her life stories on the platform for her fans to see.
