Chrissy Teigen slams cruel backlash against Billie Eilish over Grammy win

Chrissy Teigen threw her support behind Billie Eilish as the Grammy winner won the Record of the Year for a second time in a row.

The singer was bestowed the glittering award once again for her single Everything I Wanted at the Grammy Awards 2021.

In a Twitter outburst, Chrissy slammed people saying the singing super star didn't deserve it.

The model insisted Billie was unable to enjoy her win because so many people were dampening her parade.

She wrote: "Winning record of the year sucks because you can’t enjoy it when everyone’s telling you why you don’t deserve it.

"It’s just s**t. people suck. and it’s not the record of the year winner."

At the Grammy Awards, Billie devoted her speech to her rival Megan Thee Stallion who she had been up against.

Admittedly the singer voiced her opinion Megan deserved the award, much like when Adele celebrated her rival Beyonce in her acceptance speech for Album of the Year.

Speaking at the awards, she said: "This is really embarrassing for me.

"Megan, girl! I was gonna write a speech about how you deserve this, but then I was like, 'There's no way they're gonna chose me.' I was like, 'it's hers.'

"You deserve this. You had a year that I think is impalpable. You are a queen, I want to cry thinking about how much I love you. You're so beautiful. You're so talented. You deserve everything in the world.

"I think about you constantly, I root for you always. You deserve it, honestly, genuinely, this goes to her. Can we just cheer for Megan Thee Stallion, please?

"I really do appreciate this. Thank you to the Academy, thank you to Ringo [Starr presenting the award]. I love you, I love my team. Thank you for seeing me and thank you to my brother."

She also won the Best Song Written for Visual Media award.

But Megan didn't go home empty handed, though.

She won Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance for Savage and Best Rap Song.
