Chrissy Teigen shares her dismay as she shows off botched new nose piercing

Chrissy Teigen had a piercing disaster when she decided to add a tiny stud to her nose but things went wrong.

The 35-year-old model was the proud owner of a nose piercing for a handful of seconds when she had a stud added to her nose, only for it to fall out “immediately”.

The star failed to get the piercing back into place and the hole quickly healed up – making the entire enterprise a complete waste of time.

Taking to social media on Monday, the star poked fun at her situation as she updated fans and followers on her personal piercing disaster.

The star uploaded a selfie showing off her new piercing on social media (chrissyteigen/Twitter)

Sharing a photo of herself laying down after the piercing was successfully added, fans could see the tiny stud resting proudly above her nostril.

But, as Chrissy told fans: "So I did this today and it immediately fell out and healed the second she left because she did it wrong lmao."

Following up on Twitter, the American star expressed her disbelief that the professional piercer had cocked up so badly.

Chrissy detailed her disaster on Twitter (chrissyteigen/Twitter)

She tweeted: "Like how do you do it wrong? It's a hole, through the nose. It's like jerry seinfeld‘s bobsledding joke. It's impossible to do wrong.

"Wait actually it was the luge."

Chrissy went on to suggest fans had been roasting her over the mishap, going on to Tweet: “It’s out and healed you don’t have to keep being a**holes thanks I’ll do it better next time for you I promise!!”

She added: “U sweet little angels never cease to surprise me.”

Other fans offered insight into why the piercing may have gone wrong.

One offered: "Omg yeah it's way too high. Let that heal and get another one. You can play around with drawing a pen dot on the nostril to see where you want it but you def don't want it right there."

While another offered the slip up could have been a blessing in disguise, tweeting back: ”Oh honey, that placement. I'm glad it fell out. You need to move that down a lot."
