Chrissy Teigen's cookware range removed from Macy's website after vile tweets uncovered

Chrissy Teigen has faced another blow after vile private messages and tweets she sent to Courtney Stodden telling them to take their own life were revealed online.

The Sports Illustrated model sent Courtney, who was just 16-years-old at the time, a string of vile tweets, including one urging them to "take a dirt nap".

She's now said she was an "insecure, attention seeking troll" and is "ashamed and completely embarrassed" about what she did.

And now business' affiliated with Chrissy appear to be distancing themselves from the wife of John Legend.

Firstly, she lost her contract with American mega-mart Target, however, the brand say that the decision was made in December - months prior to the tweets coming to light.

And now another huge retailer in the US, Macy's, appears to have removed Chrissy's cookware range, Cravings, from their online site.

The line of cookware includes aluminium pans, enamel dishes, sheet pans and clay pots and a range of utensils and several cook books.

The Mirror have contacted a rep for Chrissy for comment.

Chrissy hit headlines last week when Courtney - who is nonbinary and goes by the pronoun 'they' - revealed messages and tweets sent from the star.

Courtney shot to fame in 2011 when they got married as a 16-year-old to Doug Hutchinson, who was 51 at the time.

Chrissy tweeted in 2011 telling Courtney: "My friday fantasy: you. dirt nap. mmmmmm baby."

In another tweet, Chrissy told Courtney to "go. to sleep. forever."

Courtney said last week: "[Chrissy] wouldn't just publicly tweet about wanting me to take 'a dirt nap' but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, 'I can't wait for you to die.'"

A "dirt nap" is alluding to a dead person's burial, with Chrissy's tweet reading: "My friday fantasy: you. dirt nap. mmmmmm baby."

Courtney said: "She stalked me. She harassed me. She bullied me, and keep in mind, I was a minor.

"She would call me a whore, a slut, she would tell me she hated me. Every name in the book she called me."

Amid a huge backlash, Chrissy apologised to Courtney, saying: "I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behaviour but that is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel."

She added: "I have tried to connect with Courtney privately but since I publicly fueled all this, I want to also publicly apologize. I’m so sorry, Courtney. I hope you can heal now knowing how deeply sorry I am."

After her apology, Courtney told TMZ: "I accept her apology and forgive her. But, the truth remains the same, I have never heard from her or her camp in private. In fact, she blocked me on Twitter."

Courtney added: "All of me wants to believe this is a sincere apology, but it feels like a public attempt to save her partnerships with Target and other brands who are realising her 'wokeness' is a broken record."
