Chrissy Teigen once bought a Celine handbag to use the bathroom at a Barneys

There are few certainties in the coronavirus pandemic world. But Chrissy Teigen providing prime Twitter content is something we can all count on.

Not only does the 34-year-old share plenty of delicious recipes and spot-on 90 Day Fiancé commentary, but she also tweets a mix of hilarious and relatable stories.

Case in point, on Tuesday night, Teigen replied to a follower who shared they had made the Taters, Shrooms & Peas with Parmesan Cheese recipe from the model-turned-chef’s second cookbook, Cravings: Hungry For More.

“This was inspired by a trip to Barneys (rest in peace),” Teigen wrote of the recipe. “I ordered this and had my purse stolen and couldn’t pay for it and a stranger helped me,” she explained, which is funny enough on its own. But this would prove to just be her story’s start.

Another follower was quick to respond with their own Teigen-at-Barneys story. “One time I saw you at barneys and you bought a Celine bag so you wouldn’t feel guilty about asking to use the bathroom,” the follower wrote.

Hilarious, beyond polite and totally relatable (except we usually just buy a pack of gum or a Coke, not a $1,000-plus handbag). Teigen confirmed the story, replying, “Anyone that knows me knows this is very true all too often.”

And then, she showed us just how true that statement was by sharing the whole story in her Instagram stories - with a slight update.

Teigen posted a screenshot of a reply to her Celine bag story. “Sort of like that time you bought like five wedding dresses you knew you would never actually wear because you felt guilty about ‘just trying on dresses,’ which is precisely the point of TRYING ON wedding dresses,” the Instagram DM read.

“Those went to great homes,” Teigen replied in all caps.

Chrissy, if you’re looking for a great home for that Celine bag, I am clearing a space for it now.
