Chris Wood has expressed his delight at signing for Newcastle United in a message to supporters.
The Burnley striker's move to St James' Park was confirmed on Thursday morning after the Magpies activated his £25m release clause.
Wood put pen to paper of a two-and-a-half year deal, and has been registered in time to make his black-and-white debut on Saturday against Watford.

The New Zealand international leaves Turf Moor with a record of 53 goals in 165 appearances.
Wood's transfer to Newcastle was the subject of heavy speculation in recent days, and the 30-year-old has thanked fans for their welcome to the club.

He wrote on Instagram: "Where do I start! A whirlwind 24/36 hours it has been. I’m absolute delighted to be joining this amazing club.
"Steeped in history and passion. I know walking out at St James' Park will be a great occasion and I can’t wait to get started with this team full of talent.
"Tough few months ahead for us all but I’m up for this exciting challenge and I know the lads are too. Like to thank you all for the welcome you have given me already.
"The overwhelming support doesn’t go unnoticed. Hopefully I can repay all this amazing support on the pitch.
