Chris Wilder delivers his verdict on Mikel Arteta's Arsenal ahead of Sheffield United clash

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder admits that Arsenal will present a huge challenge for his side as they prepare to face Mikel Arteta's men at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Wilder's men travel to north London this weekend still searching for their first point in the Premier League this season, after three straight defeats to begin the new campaign.

In contrast, Arsenal won their first two games of the new league season, before losing out 3-1 against Premier League champions Liverpool on Monday night.

But Wilder admits he has been impressed by the Gunners and the work Mikel Arteta has done since being appointed by the club last year as the successor to Unai Emery.

"The shape of the team is good," he said at his pre-match press conference, as reported by Yorkshire Live.

"Arsenal are a good counter attacking team and at the top of pitch [they have] some outstanding talent.

"They have invested heavily and these are the challenges facing me and my coaching team.

"More difficult to play against, defend from the front and have players going forward who are positive and can hurt any team in the Premier League."

However, Wilder said he is confident that his side will improve, with Sheffield United closing in on the signing of Rhian Brewster from Liverpool.

And he has said his side will be up for the challenge against the Gunners.

"It is a huge challenge for us, doesn’t get any easier, but we are up for the fight," he said.

"The team is in a good place from a mentality point of view, no one feeling sorry for themselves.

"Had a couple of calls from people in the game saying the same thing, we are not a million miles away. We have to believe we can get something from the game and kick-start our season."
