Chris Sutton insists Scott Brown 's derby swansong is the only thing that matters in Sunday's final Old Firm clash of the season.
The former Parkhead star is less than thrilled by the prospect of the Glasgow rivals squaring off in a Premiership dead rubber at Ibrox.
Rangers have already cantered to the title and Celtic are entering a period of transition as fans await the appointment of a new manager.
Bragging rights are always up for grabs but Record Sport columnist Sutton contends the only point of interest is one of the fixture's most influential figures finally bowing out, with Brown set join Aberdeen next season.
Speaking on BBC 606, Sutton 's claim shocked co-host Robbie Savage.
He said: “It doesn’t matter that game.”

Savage replied: “What about Celtic? Can they stop Rangers from being unbeaten?”
But Sutton doubled down and said: "“They have won the league. It doesn’t matter.”
It was a viewpoint Savage couldn't quite get his head around.
He asked again: “It doesn’t matter, Celtic v Rangers? Meaningless? You said it’s the biggest derby in the world. Wow.”
Pushed to find a talking point, Sutton singled out Brown's impending final bow.
He said: "Scott Brown’s last game for Celtic against Rangers. But the result doesn’t matter.”
