Chris Sutton reckons Rangers' 'choker' days are over as Celtic hero fears worse is yet to come

Former Celtic star Chris Sutton concedes Rangers don't look like 'chokers' and believes they appear a team destined for Scottish Premiership title glory.

The Record Sport pundit has been impressed with Steven Gerrard 's side while the Hoops find themselves 13 points behind their greatest rivals.

Sutton has been quick to qualify praise aimed in Rangers direction in the past as he's repeatedly pointed to the fact that Gerrard has yet to win a trophy in Scottish football.

But the Englishman - an integral part of three title winning sides during his Parkhead days - reckons the Ibrox men are set to capitalise on Celtic 's rotten run.

Speaking on 5 Live's 606, he said: "You have to look at Celtic and the way they've performed this season.

"I think it's two wins in 12.

"I bet if you go back through the history books, I don't know if they've ever been on such a bad run, European football has been awful, it looks like he should have been put out of his misery before now.

"You said earlier about the title race. Is there a title race any more?

"Rangers are so far ahead and you can't see Celtic at this moment in time getting out of the slump.

"And that's the truth! They (Rangers) seem to be a different team. Listen, they've been chokers for the last couple of seasons.

"You don't smell it this season. They're organised, not conceding goals, they're going well in Europe, they've got a good identity.

"If they got Morelos playing well as well - because he's been off the pace this season - then god knows what will happen."
