Chris Sutton believes Alfredo Morelos ' future is Rangers' "million dollar question" this summer.
The Celtic legend reckons Steven Gerrard will be determined to keep his star striker for another season as his side attempt to stop their rivals winning Ten In A Row.
Morelos has long been linked with moves away from Ibrox and interest was expected to peak following his exploits in the first half of last season.
The 22-year-old bagged 29 goals before the winter break but his form tapered off startlingly after the restart.
And Sutton reckons even if Morelos stays another season, it's difficult to predict which version of the frontman will turn up.
Asked if he thinks Morelos will remain at Rangers, Sutton told talkSPORT: "Oh, who knows?
"That's the million dollar question, will they go through another another season with Morelos?
"I would think Steven Gerrard will hope so - which Morelos are we going to see though?"
The striker turned pundit was even less sure on Rangers ' chances of preventing their city foes making history with a tenth consecutive title.
Asked to rate Gerrard's chances of winning the title, Sutton added: ""Well, I've not looked at things too closely at the moment but going on the form of the last two seasons... probably not a lot."
