Chris Sutton nails Celtic's fatal flaw with cutting six-word San Siro verdict

Fed-up Chris Sutton has ripped into wretched Celtic and their inability to cut out the slapstick defending that continues to cost them.

The Record Sport pundit was left exasperated time and time again as Neil Lennon 's side lost 4-2 to Milan despite being two goals ahead after only 14 minutes.

But it was Brahim Diaz's fourth goal after he waltzed through the Celtic defence that led to Sutton delivering the uncomfortable truth about his former team.

During his commentary for BT Sport, he said: "Don't want to defend, can't defend"

And he also laid into the Greek keeper as he asked co-commentator if the former AEK Athens man has performed his basic function since his £5m summer transfer.

He added: "Correct me if I'm wrong, but has he made a save of note since he arrived?"

And he reckons Lennon cannot spin Thursday's Europa League defeat as a positive despite some improved attacking play against the Serie A leaders.

"It's not been good enough under Neil Lennon. Europe has been  a disastser. It's been an embarassment."

The sobering loss in the San Siro is the first time in 13 years that Celtic have lost three consecutive games in Europe.
