Chris Sutton identifies the difference between Leeds United and promotion rivals West Brom

Premier League winner Chris Sutton has dubbed Leeds United a 'one-trick pony' and believes he has identified the difference between Marcelo Bielsa's side and league leaders West Brom.

Defeat for the Whites against Nottingham Forest at the weekend left the race for automatic promotion wide open, with United winning just one of their last five.

West Brom have also hit some bumps in the road recently but extended their advantage at the top of the table on Sunday by defeating Millwall at the Den.

Now, with the pressure rising upon Leeds, Sutton has explained that the Baggies boast depth within attack that Leeds lack - and has questioned Bielsa as a result.

“Can I tell you the difference between West Brom and Leeds? Leeds have Bamford, I know they’ve got Augustin now, but you look at West Brom and the options they have up front. Robson-Kanu, Zohore, Charlie Austin, they have goals in their team," he told BBC 5Live.

“Their recruitment, I think, has been superb, Ayaji from Rotherham, they’ve got Grosicki in, they seem to have the strength in depth. The argument against Leeds is that they’re a one-trick pony up front, that’s their issue, Bamford has lost his form and that’s going to cost them.

“The manager has to take responsibility for that. He should’ve learnt his lessons from what happened last season when they came up short but clearly he hasn’t.”
