Chris Sutton and Neil Lennon refused Rangers entry as ex-Celtic legends forced to cover Europa League games from London

Chris Sutton and Neil Lennon have been denied access to Ibrox for tonight's Europa League fixture by Rangers.

The former Celtic duo were set for punditry duty from Ibrox for their former side's clash against Real Betis in Spain.

But it's understood that Gers chiefs informed BT Sport that Sutton and Lennon had been refused entry due to security concerns.

The broadcaster had planned to use Ibrox as their base for their coverage of both Old Firm sides fixtures in the Europa League this evening.

Both matches are live on BT Sport 3, with Celtic's trip to face Betis in Seville a 17:15 kick-off before Rangers host Lyon at 8pm.

It's expected that Sutton and Lennon will cover Celtic's fixture from a studio in London after BT Sport made alternative plans to accommodate the high-profile pundits.

Although the whole broadcast will not be live from Ibrox, different pundits are set to be in the stadium for Rangers' glamorous clash against the French giants.

Sutton questioned the decision and pointed the finger at Rangers sporting manager director Stewart Robinson over the decision.
