Chris Sutton and Ally McCoist trade barbs over managerial records as Rangers icon brands Celtic pal a 'dumpling'

Sparring partners Chris Sutton and Ally McCoist each landed a blow during a hilarious exchange over each other's records in the dugout.

The pair are can't-miss entertainment on BT Sport's Scottish Football Extra with both never missing a chance to wind the other up.

And it was Rangers icon McCoist who initiated contacted on Celtic hero Sutton, as he claimed his pal has been having success in their weekly predictions due to his cautious approach.

But the Englishman was on hand to fire straight back at the 59-year-old as he reminded his pal of one of his lowlights while in charge of the Ibrox side.

McCoist said: "By the way, before we go any further, you should not be allowed to predict 0-0.

"That sums your Lincoln team up, by the way, Sutton, that sums your Lincoln team up, Sutton.

"0-0, no flair man, have a guess, try and get goals."

But Sutton wasn't for taking a backwards step as he instantly fired back.

And he responded: "I saw your Rangers team draw with Berwick-upon-Tweed."

But McCoist hit back: "Berwick-upon-Tweed is actually a place, Berwick Rangers is the name of the team, ya dumpling!"
