Chris Stewart to miss Game 3 for Wild vs. Blackhawks

May 05--ST. PAUL -- The Wild will be down another forward by Game 3 against the Blackhawks.

Winger Chris Stewart will miss Game 3 at the XCel Energy Center because of an upper-body injury he suffered in Game 2.

Stewart was battling for the puck with Hawks defenseman Johnny Oduya when Oduya appeared to grab Stewart by his skate, sending Stewart crashing into the boards.

Stewart got up cradling his right arm and went into the dressing room but did return later in the game.

"It's a scoring chance on the play and he gets banged up on the play, but we didn't lose the game because of that," coach Mike Yeo said.

Jordan Schroeder took Stewart's place at the morning skate, but Yeo did not confirm if Schroeder would be replacing him. Justin Fontaine is expected to miss Game 3 after missing Game 2 because of a lower-body injury.

*There was a power outage last night at the XCel Energy Center, which affected the ice for the morning skates. Some players thought the ice was a little heavy, but coach Joel Quenneville didn't seem bothered by it.

"It wasn't a factor at all, acutally pretty good," Quenneville said.

Winger Andrew Shaw said the ice "was still better than the United Center."

"It felt pretty good," Oduya said. "The ice here is nice and crispy, cold, quick. It felt pretty good."
