Chris Ramsey's wife Rosie joins standing ovation as Strictly audience disagree with harsh comment

His attempt to take things seriously may not have impressed Strictly's harshest judge, but Chris Ramsey's fiery tango went down pretty well with Strictly Come Dancing's live audience.

And cheering him on from the crowd and joining in an enthusiastic standing ovation was wife Rosie.

Rosie, who co-hosts a popular podcast with her husband, is one of his biggest Strictly fans and was spotted in tears when his Let's Get Ready To Rhumble routine earned him his best-ever score last week.

This Saturday she was on her feet with the rest of the crowd, who seemed to enjoy Chris' attempt to wipe the smile from his face and take on an intense tango.

But it didn't go down well with the BBC show's harshest critic.

Craig Revel-Horwood told him: "You seriously need to up your game if you think you're going to go further in the competition."

But there were a host of boos from the crowd as the notoriously strict judge told South Shields comedian Chris: "Technically I thought it was a complete disaster."

Beaming once again as soon as the number was over, the comedian didn't seem too worried by the less positive comments, which overall earned him 26 points - and he even seemed concerned about Craig.

As he handed down his comments, Chris said: "You look really sad!"

And Craig admitted he was: "Well I loved last week, hated this week."

Graciously acknowledging the comments, Chris told Craig: "It's alright man, thank you, I appreciate."
