Chris Ramsey pays tribute to 'machine' Rosie after sold out Newcastle gigs

Chris Ramsey has branded wife Rosie 'a machine' after the couple's sold out shows in Newcastle this week.

After a number of delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, the husband and wife duo's S*agged, Married, Annoyed tour finally arrived at the Utilita Arena this week as fans took their seats in their thousands to see South Shields stars Chris and Rosie bring their award-winning podcast to life on stage.

But their first show wasn't without drama as Rosie had a tooth out just hours before taking to the stage.

In a Instagram video, Rosie explained: "I've been in the business a long time. I know the show must go on.

"I've done shows with a sprained ankle before, shows where you've had a sore throat and can hardly speak...but never have I had a tooth extraction five hours before going on stage."

She then pointed to her numb mouth, saying: "I hope this wears off!"

Chris and Rosie delighted fans at the Utilita Arena over two consecutive nights, with former Strictly star Chris celebrating their double header by posting a picture of a packed out crowd on Facebook and Instagram.

Above it, he wrote: "When a little podcast you started in your kitchen gets massively out of hand…

"So incredible to start the tour off in Newcastle Arena. Massive thanks to all of the 20,000 people who came over the two nights. You were absolutely unreal!

"All of the first leg is SOLD OUT but the shows in December have still got some availability. GET ON IT!

"Nottingham next, then Wembley bloody arena on Monday!"

Praising Rosie, Chris then added: "Huge huge huge thanks and love and bags of admiration (and a bit of fear) for my (maniac) wife @rosemarinoramsey who, (like a lunatic) got a painful tooth taken out so we could do the shows (like the podcast version of Rocky).

"She’s an absolute machine. And I’m scared of her now."
