Chris Ramsey fears he's 'not sexy enough' to go the distance on Strictly Come Dancing

Strictly star Chris Ramsey fears he lacks the sex factor needed to win.

The comic says he struggles with playing it sultry and worries his time on the BBC hit will end when he tackles the tango and other raunchy routines.

Chris, 33, said: “When I’m going to be sexy, I’m going to be knackered. Doing the tango and that.

“It worries me big-time. And having to have an intense look on my face instead of pulling a stupid grin.

“I like smiling. So I’m not looking forward to the ones where you have to look serious or be manly. That’s not something that comes easily. I’ve never had a smouldering look.

After a rocky start, South Shields-born Chris has been improving every week and danced the quickstep with pro partner Karen Hauer, 37, last night.

He said: “Since we started this thing and I saw how bloody good everyone is, the only person I’ve been competing against is myself.

“I never thought I’d get to the fifth week. I didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much as I have. I knew it would be fun. But it has taken me by surprise how fun it is.”
