Chris Ramsey announces Tyne Theatre shows which will be filmed for TV special

Always guaranteed to put plenty of bums on seats when he plays in his native North East, Chris Ramsey has announced a new date at Newcastle's Tyne Theatre.

And it gets better as his shows at the famous theatre on Thursday, June 27, with be filmed live for a TV special.

  South Shields comic Chris will be back in the Toon hot on the heels of Chris’s sell out 106 date nationwide tour Chris Ramsey Live 2018: The Just Happy To Get Out Of The House Tour with a stand-up special which aired earlier this year over on Comedy Central.

Expect more of Chris’ high energy, life affirming, trademark stand up as he gives us his hilarious take on everything from the big issues to the small issues to the issues that need tissues.

Chris said, “I’m absolutely over the moon to be filming a brand new stand up special for 2019. 

"I’m thrilled to be recording in front of my hometown crowd too, and very much look forward to seeing the smattering of angry faces that always appear in the audience when I slightly tweak my accent so that the rest of the world can understand me.”

Away from the live stage, Chris has appeared on TV hosting The Chris Ramsey Show, and Stand Up Central, I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp and Virtually Famous as well as performing on the Royal Variety Performance , Live at the Apollo and as a regular on Celebrity Juice.

He also starred as Jack in two series of BBC3 sitcom Hebburn and alongside his wife Rosie on Married to a Celebrity and Parenting for Idiots (Channel 4).
