Chris Paul, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander visit OKC National Memorial & Museum

When the Oklahoma City Thunder announced they’d collaborated with one of their partners, the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, on the team’s 2019-20 City uniform, Kari Watkins, the Executive Director of the memorial and museum, also mentioned, “For more than a decade, every [Thunder] player experiences and comes to understand the Oklahoma Standard by visiting the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.”

The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum honors those who lost their lives and others who were directly impacted by the tragedy that took place almost 25 years ago.

As it turns out, Tuesday was the day for the new members of the Thunder to take in the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum Executive Director. Among those in attendance were guards Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chris Paul, the latter of which played in Oklahoma City when the New Orleans Hornets were temporarily relocated following the events of the Hurricane Katrina.

Devon Hall, one of the Thunder’s 2018 second-round picks, also made the trip with Paul and Gilgeous-Alexander.
