James Harden didn’t get many calls early in Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors. And then he later suffered an eye injury that chased him from the game for a bit in the first half.
But late in the third quarter he finally got a call that’s he been looking for as he stepped back for a 3-pointer and got hit by Kevin Durant, who didn’t give Harden any place to land and was called for a foul.
The refs didn’t call that in Game 1. But they did Tuesday night, much to the delight of Harden’s teammate, Chris Paul, who gleefully celebrated the call that finally sent Harden to the free throw line:
