Chris Paul looking forward to his Oklahoma City return

The second Oklahoma City acquired Chris Paul from the Houston Rockets, the discussion became “Where will the Thunder trade Paul?” While he could be on the move somewhere down the line, it appears Paul is going to at least start the season in Oklahoma City — where he began his career as a member of the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets.

Upon officially acquiring the 34-year-old guard, Thunder general manager Sam Presti expressed his excitement about returning Paul to where his career started. But the guard had yet to weigh in on the matter publicly — until Wednesday, when he took to Instagram:

So thankful to the city of Houston for all your generosity and kindness toward my family and me these past few years! I’m truly blessed to have amazing fans who continue to support me throughout my career. I’m excited to be joining @okcthunder next season and for this new opportunity to compete alongside my Thunder teammates. I started my NBA career playing in Oklahoma City with the New Orleans Hornets and I look forward to returning!
